
OD Emily Zediker
Emily M. Zediker is a board-certified therapeutic optometrist and Texas optometric glaucoma specialist with leadership experience, research participation, and academic prowess. She practices primary care optometry and management of ocular diseases including glaucoma, ocular surface disease, diabetic eye disease, age-related macular degeneration, and red eyes.
Dr. Zediker graduated Magna Cum Laude and earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, where she was recognized as a top “40 under 40” graduate in 2021. She obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree graduating class Salutatorian with Magna Cum Laude honors, from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, Texas. During her education, Dr. Zediker completed rotations at multi-doctor ophthalmology internships with emphasis on co-managed care. In addition, Dr. Zediker received the National Board of Examiners in Optometry Certificate of Commendation for achieving the highest national boards score of any student in attendance at Rosenberg School of Optometry in school history.
In the spring of 2018, Dr. Zediker joined fellow students and faculty on a mission trip to Yucatán to treat and prevent blindness due to cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease. A student fellow of the American Optometric Association, she takes pride in using her skills to make a positive difference in the lives of her patients through vision correction. Her mission is to offer her patients the best possible solution to their visual needs in a caring and attentive manner.
